[Other] BREAKING NEWS - Heba Labadi Military Hearing Decision Postponed By 48H
inminds 28 October 2019 Inminds, 28th Oct 2019
Tortured Palestinian-Jordanian woman hunger striker, Heba Labadi had a hearing at Ofer military court in Occupied Palestine this morning at 9:30am. Heba, having been rushed to Bnai Zion Hospital in critical condition yesterday, after 33 days on hunger strike, could not attend the hearing. Unlike her previous hearing, her lawyer was this time allowed to attend the Israeli occupation military court. A welcome presence at the hearing was the Jordanian consul.
The court was to hear an appeal by Heba's lawyers against the illegal 6 month Administrative Detention order Heba has been slapped with, which allows Israel to cage Heba without charge or trial indefinitely on rolling 6 month Administrative Detention orders. Some prisoners have been left languishing in rolling Administrative Detention orders for over a decade without even a charge let alone an opportunity to defend themselves in a trial.
The military judge postponed the outcome of the hearing by 48 hours, saying he will review her medical condition and take advice from the Israeli secret police before deciding.
